HUNTINGDON, PA - The Susquehanna women's tennis team traveled to Huntingdon to take on the Juniata Eagles on Wednesday. Despite a competitive effort, the River Hawks fell 6-1 to the Eagles, with Claire Gallagher earning the lone singles victory for Susquehanna.
 
THE DOUBLES MATCHES

• Alexa Wanamaker and Mackenzie Romig fell in the first spot, 0-6 to Medina Yessenaliyeva and Celia Navarro de Torres.
• In the number two spot, Macey DiBastiani and Amelia Maguire fell 4-6 to Nina Meadows and Katie Wagoner.
• The finals double match belonged to Katherine Yoder and Nanci Major, who were defeated in a close 5-7 match against Skylar Grabarski and Emma Steinhoff.

THE SINGLES MATCHES

• Alexa Wanamaker fell against Medina Yessenaliyeva 1-6, 3-6.
• The number two spot saw Mackenzie Romig drop the match in two sets, 0-6, 1-6 against Celia Navarro de Torres.
• In the third spot, Kaiya Reisinger lost her singles match 2-6, 3-6, against Nina Meadows.
• In the four spot, Macey DiBastiani lost 3-6, 6-7 to Katie Wagoner.
• In the fifth spot, Amelia Maguire fell to Skylar Grabarski 4-6, 3-6.
• The final singles spot belonged to Claire Gallagher, who won in a hard-fought three-set victory 6-3, 6-0, 11-9 against Emma Steinhoff.

UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS

• The women are headed to Bethlehem to take on Moravian this Saturday, April 18, before finishing their regular season against Wilkes at home on April 19.
