SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's outdoor track & field team recorded 10 first-place finishes at their first home meet of the season Saturday afternoon. The River Hawks went up against athletes from Elizabethtown College, Goucher College, Juniata College and University of Scranton.
How It Happened
Sophomore
Chance Singleton (Middle River, Md./New Town) captured the 100m dash (11.37) and the 200m dash (23.11). First-year
Sal D'Adamo (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) took second in the 100m in 11.43 while sophomore
Isaiah Blatt (Shoemakersville, Pa./Hamburg Area) was second in the 200m in 23.58.
Senior
Alejandro Gillespie (Morristown, N.J./Storm Ring) came in first in the 400m dash in 53.54 followed by sophomore
Jake Newell (Ventnor City, N.J./Parsippany Hills) in second in 53.82.
Junior
Jack Warehime (Hanover, Pa./Spring Grove Area) crossed the finish line first in the 1500m run in 4:05.57 while taking second in the 800m run in 1:58.71. First-year
Andrew Rooney (Locust Gap, Pa./Mount Carmel Area) was second in the 800m with a time of 1:59.62.
First-year
Joey Masser (Shamokin, Pa./Shamokin Area) was a first-place finisher in both the high jump, notching a height of 1.85m, and the long jump with a mark of 6.74m. Junior
Keefer Goodspeed (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) won the pole vault with a mark of 4.25m followed by
Blatt in second with a mark of 4.25m as well, tying them both for eight all-time.
First-year
Ryan MacDonald (Oradell, N.J./River Dell) had the winning throw in the shot put with 11.46m while first-year
Tyler Hauk (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) claimed top honors in the discus throw with a throw of 40.87m. Junior
Anthony Taddeo (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) tallied a first-place finish in the hammer throw with 44.77m, which ranks seventh all-time, followed by
Hauk in second with a throw of 38.12m.
First-year
Matt Masser (Shamokin, Pa./Shamokin Area) finished second in the 400m hurdles in 1:00.96 while taking third in the 110m hurdles in 17.83.

Tanner Allison (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area), senior
Leonard Bolinsky (Ashland, Pa./North Schuylkill), and
Gillespie clocked a 3:41.41 for second in the 4x400m relay.
Junior
Sam Hebert (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills Regional) picked up a third-place finish in the javelin throw with a distance of 49.15m.
