ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's outdoor track & field team had eight athletes competing Saturday afternoon at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Tune-Up. Susquehanna, who finished second in the six-team field, captured two events while sophomore
Isaiah Blatt (Shoemakersville, Pa./Hamburg Area) recorded a Susquehanna top-three mark in the pole vault.
Additionally, juniors
Keefer Goodspeed (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) and
Sam Hebert (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills Regional) qualified for the 2021 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships on May 19-20.
How It Happened
Hebert claimed the top mark in the javelin with a mark of 53.48m, which ranks second in the Landmark Conference and qualified him for this year's AARTFC Championships.
Blatt won the pole vault with a mark of 4.60m, which ranks third all-time in River Hawks history as well as first in both the Mideast region and Landmark Conference.
Goodspeed qualified for the 2021 AARTFC Championships with his mark of 4.40m in the pole vault as he finished second in the event.
Goodspeed's mark also ranks sixth all-time at Susquehanna.

Joey Masser (Shamokin, Pa./Shamokin Area), sophomore
Chance Singleton (Middle River, Md./New Town), and first-year
Sal D'Adamo (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) finished second in the 4x100m relay in 44.42.
Junior
Jonathon White (Mohegan Lake, N.Y./Lakeland Senior) finished third in the 100m in 11.84 while
Singleton placed third in the 200m in 22.69 followed by junior
Trent McGuire (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) in fourth in 23.45.
J. Masser also placed sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 2.90m while coming in seventh in the 1,500m in 5:40.81.
