KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the 2020-21 NABC Honors Court, recognizing men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. In all, head coach Frank Marcinek has mentored 23 players to 32 appearances on the NABC Honors Court. This year's selection of seven players to the Honors Court is a program record and the most since landing five in 2015-16, 2018-19, and 2020-21. Coach Marcinek has had at least three players named to the Honors Court for six consecutive seasons now.
"This has been an exceptional group of men to work with and represent Susquehanna University men's basketball. They have succeeded at the highest level both on the court and in the classroom," Marcinek said. "Our championship culture requires consistency of effort and this group has been able to raise the bar of what we expect from one another."
The NABC began recognizing the academic achievement of men's collegiate basketball student-athletes with the first Honors Court in 2006-07. Susquehanna has had players honored in 2008-09 (3), 2015-16 (5), 2016-17 (3), 2017-18 (4), 2018-19 (5), 2019-20 (5), and 2020-21 (7).
