Box Score SELINSGROVE, PA (October 9, 2022) – Susquehanna Men's tennis took to home court for the first time this fall, hosting Misericordia University for their final match of the fall season. The River Hawks put up a dominant performance and took a 9-0 victory.
The wins got under way with #3 doubles, with Thomas Hallahan and Gavin Ream taking an uncontested win at that slot. Sam Sidle and Brendan Stockdale took an 8-2 win at #2 doubles, before doubles finished with Tim Basta and Conor Ryan earning an 8-3 win at #1.
Stockdale got an uncontested win at #6 singles to start singles play and make the score 4-0 in SU's favor. Ream would be the first to finish at #3 singles, taking a 6-0, 6-0 win. He was followed by Josh Sanderson who played at #1 singles and took a 6-3, 6-1 win. John Duncan played at #2 and won 6-4, 6-1. Ryan earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at #4 and the match finished with Justin Mahoney taking a 6-1, 6-0 win at #5 and sealing the 9-0 victory for Susquehanna.
After posting a 3-2 record in the fall, the team will now look forward to getting back in action in the spring and jumping into Landmark Conference play.
