LOCK HAVEN, PA (October 9, 2022) – The Susquehanna women's tennis team continued their three-day match streak on Sunday as they traveled to Lock Haven University. The match would end 7-2 in favor of the hosts, moving SU to 0-5 for the fall season.

#1 doubles would go in favor of LHU as the pairing of Bella Scappaticci and Grace Tepes fell 0-6. Susquehanna took their first point at #2 doubles, with Kristin Bair and Chelsea Kneedler taking a 6-3 win. #3 doubles saw Eliza Mahoney and Olivia Tepes fall 4-6 and LHU would take a 2-1 lead into singles play.

Scappaticci was felled 0-6, 3-6 at #1 singles, while Tepes lost at #2 singles by a score of 3-6, 3-6. At #3, Bair managed to force a third set, but still lost with the scoreline being 6-2, 3-6, 10-12. SU would get their sole singles win at the #4 slot, as Kneedler also went to three sets but managed a victory in the tiebreaker. After falling 0-6 in the first set, she took a 6-1 victory in set two and won 11-9 in a hard-fought third set. Mahoney was swept 0-6, 0-6 at #5 and #6 saw Julia Pardo dealt a 4-6, 2-6 loss, giving LHU the 7-2 victory.

Tomorrow will see SU conclude their three days of matches and wrap up their fall season, as they return to Selinsgrove to host Penn College for a match beginning at 3:30 pm.
