ROCHESTER, NY (March 4, 2022) -- The 4x400 meter relay squad for the Susquehanna University men's indoor track and field squad set a new school record Friday in action at the AARTFC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth College.
The group of
Brandon Zimmerman,
Ezra Miller,
Ian Dyson and
Elliott Davis logged a time of 3:25.89, breaking the previous school mark of 3:26.63 set back in 2007. The River Hawks saw Zimmerman run a 51.61, before Miller ran a very strong 51.82. Dyson ran a 51.87 and Davis anchored the group with a 50.61 to win the first heat.
Sophomore
Joey Masser sits in the lead after the first day of the heptathlon, as he has accumulated 2698 points through four events. Masser was first in the 60 meters (7.20), long jump (6.38m), shot put (11.27) while taking second in the high jump with a 1.83m leap. Masser leads Thomas Rich of Carnegie Mellon University by 124 points.
Zimmerman started the day on the track in the 60 meter dash, as he ran a 7.15, while
Isaiah Blatt was 11th in the pole vault with a height of 4.26 meters.
