ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (April 30, 2022) -- The River Hawk men's track and field squad sent a small group of competitors to the 2022 Blue Jay Tune Up Meet, hosted by Elizabethtown College.
The highlight of the day came in the men's discus, as
Tyler Hauk earned the overall win with a mark of 43.07 meters. The mark was just short of his personal-best throw, but edged Ethan Hart of Dickinson by 00.02 meters.
First-year
Brandon Zimmerman finished 10th in the 100 meter dash, as he ran a 11.47 in his first 100 meter race of the spring. In the 1500 meter run,
Tanner Allison finished 13th overall after running a 4:26.59, while first-year
Blandin Conklin was 15th after crossing the finish line in a personal-best 4:28.26.
First-year
Elliott Davis was second in the 400 meter dash, running a 51.20, and
Blake Shellenberger took third in the 400 meter hurdles after running a new personal best 1:00.26. Jonathan White was seventh in the 200 meter dash with a 23.30.
Jake Newell was sixth in the high jump with a cleared height of 1.70 meters, while Zimmerman took third place with a mark of 6.40 meters, while finishing fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.59 meters.
Ryan MacDonald finished eighth in the shot put, registering a distance of 12.03, and
Alex Albrecht was 12th with a final distance of 11.41 meters. MacDonald also was seventh in the discus with a throw of 36.86 meters.
Curtis Anthony also tossed the discus 31.03 meters for the River Hawks.
