BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Joey Masserm and
Bryce Ellinger shared the spotlight for Susquehanna University Saturday on day two of the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. Masser finished All-American in the heptathlon, setting a new Landmark Conference record with 5,013 points for fifth place.
Bryce Ellinger took flight for the River Hawks in the high jump, clearing 1.98m to place 11th.
Masser entered Saturday tied for first after the opening four events Friday with 2,960 points, setting new PR's in the 60 meters at 7.14 and the event's best shot put mark at 13.15m. He added another PR in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:59.54, while earning the second-best time in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.22. He cleared 3.40m in the pole vault.
