Grace Tepes and
Sophia Koons gave the River Hawks their only victory of the day against Bridget McCabe and Paige Brightwell by an 8-6 score.
The one doubles team of
Julie Bramley and
Chelsea Kneedler waged a close contest against Brooke Simonson and Abbey Cassidy, sending the match to a tiebreaker tied at 7, but ultimately fell to the Cardinals tandem 10-2 in the tiebreaker.
Kristen Bair took Catholic's Aubree Narus to three sets at four singles, overcoming a 6-2 first-set defeat by prevailing in the second via the tiebreaker 7-6 (5), only for Narus to come back in set three to take a 10-8 win.
The River Hawks return to the court next weekend for Landmark Conference play at Scranton Saturday, Mar. 25.
