Cole Goodwin earned the team's highest finish at fourth in the shot with a throw of 13.60m, while
Tyler Hauk led the River Hawks in the hammer throw with a new personal best of 44.84m for seventh place.
Hauk also threw for 11.00m in the shot put for 18th place, while Ryan MacDonald threw for 12.04m in the shot for 11th place and 35.53m in the hammer throw for 23rd place.
Brady Zilker's mark of 11.03m in the shot put earned him 17th place.
Logan deMey threw for 34.35m in the hammer throw to secure 25th place.
The second and much busier day of the Jim Taylor Invite starts Saturday at 9:00 A.M. with the 10,000 meters and discus throws.
