Masser Second, Bulger Fourth, Smith Sixth After Day One of SU Multi

SELINSGROVE, PA (April 6, 2023) – Joey Masser stands in second place following the first day of the Susquehanna Multi Thursday, accruing 3,535 points by way of taking the top marks in the 100 meters at 11.16 and the high jump at 1.86m. He trails Carnegie Mellon's Thomas Rich by just 69 points.

Masser jumped to 6.83m in the long jump, 11.91m in the shot put, and ran for 53.60 in the 400 meters to cement his second-place status. Ben Bulger stands in fourth with 2,438 points after posting the second-best time in the 100 at 11.20 and the 400 with a new PR of 51.77, shaving 1.36 seconds off his personal best. He also jumped to 6.35m in the long jump, 9.05m in the shot put, and 1.68m in the high jump.

Rowan Smith is in sixth place with 3,119 points with the following marks: 11.53 in 100 meters, 6.12m in the long jump (new personal best), 9.78m in the shot put (personal best), 1.77m in the high jump, and 52.90 in the 400 meters (personal best).

Ethan Roe is 16th with 2,288 points with the following marks: 12.03 in the 100 meters, 5.49m in the long jump, 7.74m in the shot put (personal best), 1.47m in the high jump, and 59.05 in the 400 meters.

Day two of the Susquehanna Multi commences Friday at 12:00 P.M. with the 110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1500 meters.
