SHIPPENSBURG, PA – Saturday's Shippensburg University Paul Keiser Invitational left one more chance for the men's team to gain strong marks for next weekend's Landmark Championships. In the end, the men came out stronger than ever with new PRs.
In the 10K
Declan Griffin ran a 37:16.09 in tenth place.
Ezra Miller competed in the 110H prelims with a time of 15.68 to qualify for finals, improving to a 15.58 time for sixth overall. During the 100 meter,
Isaiah Blatt raced a 11.22 in the prelims and an 11.46 in the finals, while Elliot Davis finished with a 11.53.
Hunter Valentino competed in the 1500 meter with a time of 4:49.57, while in the 400 meter
Kareem Beck took in a time of 52.65,
Ryan Sullivan a 54.23 and
Charles Montross a time of 57.64.
Ian Anderson finished the 800 meter with a time of 2:04.60, along with
Lukas VanDine with a time of 2:05.40,
Jack Compton a 2:10.83 and
Christian Calderaro a 2:11.09. In the 400-meter hurdles Ben Bulger took second place with a time of 54.82, while
Justin Weychert finished with a time of 1:00.43 and
Blake Shellenberger a 1:00.90.
Dominic Santos,
Mason Winslow, Davis and
Austin Hurrell each competed in the 200 meters, where Santos clocked in at 22.40, Winslow running to a PR at 22.42, Davis with a 22.61 and Hurrell a time of 23.29.
In the field Blatt took fourth place in pole vault after clearing 4.20 meters.
Marcus Moyer jumped a height of 1.83 meters in high jump as the team's best finisher. In the hammer throw,
Tyler Hauk threw 44.97 meters for ninth, while
Cole Goodwin threw 38.96 meters and
Logan deMey a distance of 37.03 meters. In Discus, Ryan MacDonald threw 35.87 meters, while deMey measured in at 28.47 meters.
The men now shift their focus to next weekend's Landmark Championships at Elizabethtown, hoping to lock up their fourth consecutive conference crown running from Saturday, May 4 to Sunday, May 5.
