SELINSGROVE, PA- The Landmark Conference has announced that Nicole Freiler has been named women's soccer defensive athlete of the week. This marks the River Hawks first women's soccer honors of the season, and Freiler's first athlete of the week honors of her career.

Freiler scored the game tying goal against Wilkes University, to earn the point for the River Hawks. Her stellar defense helped the River Hawks claim the tie, as well as a 2-0 win over Drew Unviversity. Freiler's defensive prowess helped the River Hawks limit the Rangers to four shots on goal, scoring on zero shots. 

Looking ahead to the River Hawks schedule, SU takes a short road trip to Juniata on October 14, before returning home for a two game home stand against Moravian University on October 18, followed by welcoming the Cardinals of Catholic University on October 21.
