SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna field hockey scored four All-Landmark First-Team Selections with the likes of
Taylor Rothermel,
Mady Quigley,
Emma Campitelli, and
Hannah Garlin. The River Hawks led an incredible season, wrapping up 2025 in the Landmark Conference Championship game.
Susquehanna's competitive season began at Franklin & Marshall. The River Hawks continued their competitive year with a trip to Alvernia, earning their first win of 2025. #22 Swarthmore was up next for SU, followed by their first home match of the season against Dickinson College, both of which have advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs. The River Hawks defeated Washington College (Md.), before playing Bryn Mawr and nationally ranked University of Lynchburg. Susquehanna defeated King's College (Pa.), before starting Conference play against the University of Scranton. Susquehanna's non-conference match up against Marywood University saw
Emma Campitelli played hero, scoring the lone goal of the afternoon. The River Hawks defeated their next three opponents, all of which were Landmark Conference foes. The River Hawks final non-conference match up of the season was against #24 SUNY Geneseo. Susquehanna won their five remaining conference games, clinching the two seed in the playoffs and earning a first round bye. Susquehanna advanced to the semifinals, hosting Elizabethtown College, where SU defeated the Blue Jays, 2-1, earning their right to play Scranton in the Landmark Championship. SU fell to the eventual champion, but finished the season 13-8.
TAYLOR ROTHERMEL:Â Started all 21 games...scored eight goals on 43 shots, while assisting with three goals...scored one game winner against Juniata on 10/15/25...tallied one defensive save against Dickinson on 9/10/25... tallied a pair of two-goal games against King's College of Pa. on Sept. 24 and Elizabethtown on Oct. 4, both victories.. tallied an assist at Alvernia on Sept. 2, Lycoming on Oct. 25 and Goucher on Oct. 29, all victories.Â
MADY QUIGLEY:Â Appeared in and started all 21 games...scored three goals on 37 shots...assisted with eight goals, with seven coming against Landmark opponents...tallied 26 shots on goal for a 70.3% SOG%...racked up 14 points during the season... charted two assists against Goucher on Oct. 29... her first two goals came across the first two games of the season, tallying one goal and one assist at Franklin & Marshall on Aug. 29 and the next at Alvernia on Sept. 2... her third and final goal of the year came in game-winning fashion, beating Moravian in overtime 3-2 on Oct. 18... named to the NFHCA Watchlist entering 2025.Â
EMMA CAMPITELLI:Â Started all 21 games...scored 11 goals, finishing the year ninth most all-time in one season...earned five assists...tallied a total of 87 shots, setting a career high against Lycoming on 10/25/25...landed 49 shots on goal...finished the season with five game winners and one defensive save against Dickinson on 9/10/25... her game-winner against Elizabethtown came as time expired on Oct. 4 for a 3-2 win off a penalty corner... scored a goal in each of the team's final two regular-season games against Lycoming on Oct. 25 and Goucher on Oct. 29 to help the team clinch the two seed for the Landmark Tournament... followed this up with two assists in the Landmark Semifinals against Elizabethtown as the River Hawks rallied from a 1-0 fourth-quarter deficit to win 2-1... twice named Landmark Athlete of the Week and was a NFHCA Watchlist selection entering 2025.Â
HANNAH GARLIN: Started all 21 games...led the team with penalty corners taken...scored a career-high four goals, with her first two goals of the season coming at Franklin & Marshall on Aug. 29...tallied six assists...earned 19 shots, landing 15 shots on goal...went a perfect 2-2 on penalty stroke opportunities...earned one defensive save in the Landmark Conferene Semifinals against Elizabethtown College on 11/4/25... score her remaining two goals at Lynchburg on Sept. 20 and Lycoming on Oct. 25... named Landmark Athlete of the Week.Â
