Limantour, Bourgeois Complete Landmark Seasons on D3football.com All-American

SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna University football defensive end Galen Limantour and placekicker Dominic Bourgeois made another national year-end list on D3football.com's All-American rollout. Limantour was a First Team All-American selection, while Bourgeois made the Third Team.

Limantour and Bourgeois' selections were also bolstered by being singled out for their outstanding contributions this fall. Limantour was awarded both the Landmark Conference's and D3football.com's Region 2 Defensive Player of the Year, while Bourgeois was chosen Division III Special Teams Player of the Year by the Associated Press. Bourgeois cemented his status as a consensus All-American after two First Team choices from the AFCA and the Associated Press. Limantour also made the AP's year-end list as a Second Team honoree. Both received First Team All-Region 2 by D3football.com and First Team All-Landmark.

Limantour, who had six sacks during the regular season, superseded that sack total between the team's first three playoff games, getting three sacks in each of their first and second round wins over W&J and Christopher Newport, along with 1.5 sacks against Eastern in the third round for a postseason total of 7.5 sacks and 13.5 on the year. Bourgeois completed a record-breaking season where he went a perfect 20-for-20 on the year in field goals, including 5-for-5 on tries of 40 or more yards that featured a career-long 45 yarder against Eastern in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The junior kicker also made 68-of-69 extra point tries, giving him 128 points on the year.

The work of these two aided the River Hawks to their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and second consecutive NCAA Quarterfinals game. Susquehanna captured the Landmark Conference title for the third straight year with a 6-0 league record and entered the postseason at 8-2 overall. They advanced to the Elite Eight via their playoff wins over Washington & Jefferson, Christopher Newport and Eastern to earn their fourth consecutive season with at least ten wins.
