SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna's men's track & field's indoor season began in glorious fashion as they hosted their Early Season Multi and Invite. Thrower
Cole Goodwin and hurdler Calder
El Bachir Diakite set new personal bests in their respective events that earned them the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week honors in the field and track categories.
Diakite's PR was a new school record as he raised the 60-meter hurdles standard with a time of 8.13, going untouched through every hurdle along the way. He bested the previous school record of 8.16 and is now .03 seconds off the Landmark record of 8.10 set in 2008 by Moravian's Ozzie Brown. Inside the Estill Field House track Goodwin took first in the shot put and weight throw, setting a new PR in the shot at 15.19m, while throwing 14.14m in the weight throw. Goodwin kept up his shot put throwing prowess after winning the Landmark indoor title in the event in 2024 and winning the last two conference outdoor shot put titles.
The River Hawks now descend into winter break, with their first meet back coming January 17 in the Susquehanna Invite.Â
