SELINSGROVE, PA – Back in their home Estill Field House, the Susquehanna women's track and field team set their marks high for their Friday Night Showdown. The team brought in huge PRs, including a 32 second PR by
Sophia Bostwick in the 3K. Performances like these are just the energy the team looks to keep building off of throughout February and into the Landmark Championships.
First-year
Ava Warner finished in second place with a time of 20:02.82 in the 5000 meters. In a sweep from fourth to sixth, sophomore
Ayla Kerwan wrapped up with PR of 20:54.92. Junior
Kylie Dixon finished with a 21:38.15 and sophomore
EmmaLia Ciccarello 21:55.63. In the 4x200 relay, senior

Kelly Loughlin finished in second place with 1:52.30.
German qualified for the 60-meter hurdles finals with a 10.30 prelim time, utlimately placing sixth with a 10.14. With the implements out of the way, Newman ran 8.34 in the 60-meter prelims and finished in fifth place with a finals time of 8.34. First-year
Megan McDougall PR'd with a 8.78. Sophomore
Gabby Howe finished in eighth place in the mile, a PR of 6:01.08. First-year
Sydney Querry took ninth place with a PR of 6:08.72, while senior
Katrina Hook in tenth place finished at 6:39.76. First-year
Sophia Alampiev set a new PR by 29 seconds with a 6:49.01.
Seniors
Liza Levin and
Hannah Alderfer took third and fourth during the 400 meters, Levin a 1:02.77 and Alderfer at 1:04.00. Sophomore
Victoria Urbaez finished in first place with a 2:26.70 in the 800 meters. During the 200, Newman earned third with a 27.59, while Yaukey finished in fourth with a 27.89. Levin, in seventh, finished with a 28.23, while in tenth place Loughlin ran a time of 28.83.
During the 3000 meters, sophomore
Sophia Bostwick finished in second place with a 32-second PR of 10:58.72. Seniors
Jordan Bender,
Rebekah Jones, and
Sophia Pasquariello each placed in fourth, fifth and eighth. Bender ran an 18-second PR of 11:15.89, Jones a 13-second PR of 11:18.23, and Pasquariello with a 10-second PR of 11:48.49. In the final 4x400 relay, sophomore
Katie Wojton, Levin, Urbaez and Howe with a time of 4:24.37 took first place.
In the weight throw, sophomore
Bella Dauberman threw 12.50 meters for sixth place. Sophomores
Keira Carbone and
Abigail Haskell took eighth and ninth, respectively, with a PR of 12.08 for Carbone and 11.40 meters for Haskell. Junior
Ainslee Binkley PR's with a throw of 9.93 meters, while senior
Chelsea Veith also PR's with a 8.45. During shot put, Carbone, Dauberman, and Binkley swept third through fifth place. Carbone 10.83 meters, Dauberman 10.37 meters, and Binkley a PR of 9.93 meters. Juniors
Rebecca Cree threw 9.35 meters in eighth and
Paulina Biagioni 9.30 for ninth.
Charlotte Houle jumped 1.52 meters in the high jump for second place, while in the pole vault, sophomore
Alison Sponseller in third place vaulted a PR of 2.90 meters. Bostwick vaulted 2.45 meters for fourth place, while first-year
Kate Steinhart in fifth place vaulted 2.30 meters. In the triple jump, German jumped 9.92 meters for eighth place.
The women will be back on their home track for the SU Invite on Saturday, Feb. 15 starting at 10 am. It marks the second of Susquehanna's three-meet home stand, concluding with the SU Tune Up the following Friday, Feb. 21.
