SELINSGROVE, PA - Bright, sunny skies shined down on Susquehanna's campus Saturday as the women's track and field team played host at their annual Jim Taylor Duals. Named after Susquehanna's longtime track and field coach, the River Hawks made it a great day to get better with more regional qualifiers and personal bests.

The day also marked senior day for the team's eight seniors in Paulina Biagioni, Ainslee Binkley, Sophia Bostwick, Rebecca Cree, Kylie Dixon, Katrina Hook, Ashley Newman, and Griane Reed. 

IN THE FIELD

• The shot put and hammer throw led off the JT Duals Friday afternoon. The shot featured Bella Dauberman leading the team in fifth place at 11.15m, the highest among Division III competitors, while Keira Carbone was sixth at 10.94m. 
• In the hammer Catherine Sirignano threw for a team-best 40.97m, good for sixth overall and second-farthest in the D-III field.
• Saturday morning's discus throw saw senior Rebecca Cree land the sixth-best throw at 32.10m. Fellow senior Paulina Biagioni took tenth at 30.80m. 
• First-year Brooke Charnosky made an impressive performance in the javelin, throwing for an AARTFC-qualifier of 36.94m, the best for D-III throwers and fourth overall. Dauberman threw for 33.03m for sixth overall. 
• Fellow first-year Kendall Simms continued her great work in the pole vault, winning the event at 3.55m for an AARTFC qualifier. Sophia Bostwick cleared 2.80m for sixth. 
• Charlotte Houle finished seventh in the high jump at 1.48m. 
• Denicia German ended the team's day in the triple jump, taking seventh at 9.79m, earning it twice between her first and fifth jumps. 

ON THE TRACK

• The 4x100 team of Nakayah Tyler, Ashley Newman, Megan McDougall, Kendall Simms took the third-fastest time at 51.05, trailing Division II leaders Mansfield and Lock Haven by just under one second. 
• Bostwick continued her day in the 1500 meters, running a new PR of 5:00.64 for fifth place. Alison Sponseller ran 5:14.19 for 11th place, cutting it a hair close to her PR set last week at Lebanon Valley of 5:14.02. 
• First-year Alyssa Varias took home the sixth-fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles, earning a time of 16.44. 
• Newman competed in the 400, running 1:04.38 for 12th place. 
• Megan McDougall led the River Hawks in the 100-meter dash, coming in at 13.27 for 13th place. 
• Senior Kylie Dixon ran the 5,000 meters, coming in with a time of 20:55.10. 
• The 4x400 team of Nakayah Tyler, Katie Wojton, Gabby Howe, Calder Clarke ended the team's day on the track with a fifth-place time of 4:21.24. 

UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS

• The River Hawks head to York College of Pa. this Wednesday for their annual Twilight Meet.
• They then travel back down to Ursinus next weekend for their Ursinus Carnival.
