SELINSGROVE, PA - A pair of Susquehanna women's basketball student-athletes reached high academic praise with distinction to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team. Juniors
Lauren Klein and
Julia Pinckert were selected after great competitive seasons and achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and higher. Klein majors in Management and Marketing, while Pinckert, who received All-Landmark Honorable Mention status, is a Management major.
The two River Hawks' academic standing complemented another outstanding year that produced their second consecutive 12-win Landmark Conference season and a 15-11 overall record. In a crowded conference that featured three ranked programs in eventual league champion Scranton, as well as Catholic and Elizabethtown, the River Hawks finished fourth in the conference standings, going unbeaten against the rest of the conference to tie the program record for league wins in one season. The capper to the regular season was a home matchup against Drew, which offered another highlight. Tied at 52-52 in the closing seconds, Pinckert shot a desperation three that rattled in at the buzzer to give the River Hawks the win towards hosting a Landmark Quarterfinals game for the second straight season.
