ATLANTA, GA - Susquehanna Women's Basketball garnered special mention to the 2024-25 WBCA Academic Team Honors as part of the association's rollout of the Academic Top 25. The River Hawks received special mention by holding at least a 3.0 combined GPA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
Lauren Klein,
Julia Pinckert,
Annie Greek, and
Sydney Weyant were Susquehanna's top four GPA earners, boasting over a 3.8 GPA. Their work also translated to the court, where the team overcame early-season adversity to produce their second consecutive 12-win Landmark Conference season and a 15-11 overall record. In a crowded conference that featured three ranked programs in eventual league champion Scranton, as well as Catholic and Elizabethtown, the River Hawks finished fourth in the conference standings, going unbeaten against the rest of the conference to tie the program record for league wins in one season. Pinckert and Klein were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team earlier this spring.
