SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna University men's basketball junior center
Billy Anderson made the 2024-25 All-Landmark Conference board for the first time in his career, settling in as the league's Second Team selection at center. It's a fitting honor after a junior campaign where the 6-foot-8, 225-pound center was dynamic in many places on the court, leading the team with 14.9 points per game and second at 5.9 rebounds per game.
Of Susquehanna's 2024-25 roster, Anderson is the fourth team member with an All-Landmark selection after
Marcus Mitchell and
Steven Ressler scored all-conference in 2023-24, as well as
Brandon Lavitt earning Second Team accords in 2022-23. Anderson's All-Landmark choice highlighted a Susquehanna men's basketball campaign that saw the River Hawks persevere and adapt that won them 15 games overall and an 11-7 Landmark record to capture the fourth seed for the Landmark Tournament. Looking at a 5-7 record in early January, Susquehanna ran off five consecutive Landmark victories and seven of their next eight. They even avenged an early-season defeat to Moravian by not only beating the Greyhounds 92-69 in January for their fifth straight win, but by also defeating them in overtime of the conference quarterfinals by a 100-90 score, outscoring the Greyhounds in the extra frame, 18-8. Anderson helped in this matter with a game-high 29 points with six rebounds, shooting 12-of-16 from the floor with one 3-pointer.
