Box Score HUNTINGDON, PA - Susquehanna men's tennis got another key Landmark Conference win Tuesday at Juniata to heighten their hopes for the Landmark Tournament. The River Hawks clinched the doubles point winning 2-of-3 matches, along with singles wins at one, three, and five by
Logan Rauschenberger,
Owen Miller, and
Nathan Bassett, respectively.
The team of Rauschenberger and
Tyler Hester took care of business at the one doubles spot with a 7-5 win over Jules Guyot and Adrian Di Benedetto. Two doubles was captured by another familiar tandem in Miller and
Daniel Murphy, beating Dillon Murphy and Come Burghgraeve in a runoff, 7-6 (4). Rauschenberger and Miller each secured two-win days in the singles after Rauschenberger rematched and defeated Guyot, 6-3 and 7-6 (3), while Miller knocked off Murphy again, 6-4 and 6-0. Susquehanna relied on its doubles point to stay in command of the match, eventually clinching it thanks to Bassett defeating Burghgraeve in the five spot 6-1 and 6-0.Â
Susquehanna's victory puts them back above .500 in conference play at 4-3 and 9-3 overall. The River Hawks have Scranton this Saturday at home at 1 p.m., along with a non-conference date with King's (Pa.) on Sunday. A makeup date with Drew is also in the works, having suspended their match from Saturday, April 12 due to weather.Â
