CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Susquehanna University women's golfer
Kennedy Petrovich was honored to the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, with 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs recognized for this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of its players. Petrovich is a Management major with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, carrying a 3.85 cumulative GPA.
To be selected, a student-athlete must:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
- Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
In just her first season on the links as a River Hawk, Petrovich broke the school record for lowest round twice, beginning with a 74 (+3) in her career debut at the team's home course Susquehanna Valley Country Club on Sept. 15 against King's and Marywood, followed by a new low of 71 set during the team's dual match with Wilkes on Sept. 27 at the par-71 Wyoming Valley Country Club. After finishing the fall tied for first at the Landmark Previews in late October with 77 and 79 rounds, she finished sixth at the Landmark Conference championships in April for First Team All-Landmark, leading the River Hawks that had three All-Landmark finishers. Petrovich finished with a 165 total, including a 79 on day one. This led to Susquehanna posting its highest-ever conference championship placement in third.
