SELINSGROVE, PA - The Susquehanna University field hockey team exploded for nine first-half goals towards a 10-0 home victory over King's College of Pa. on Wednesday afternoon. The River Hawks get back in the win column at 3-5 overall entering their Landmark Conference season opener this Saturday at Scranton.

- Susquehanna gathered eight assists on the ten goals scored, led by Kiara Koeller with three.
- Ella Defazio was second on the team with two assists.
- Napoli was the only goalscorer who also had an assist on the day.
- Hannah Garlin and Kiana Coulter accounted for the remaining assists on the afternoon.
- Taytum Lombardi and Kylie Schmidt split time in goal. Lombardi started and played the first 30 minutes to get the win, while Schmidt took over in the second.
- Wednesday's lopsided win marked the first time Susquehanna scored ten or more goals in a game since Oct. 8, 2022 when they defeated Goucher by a 10-0 ledger.
UP NEXT FOR SUSQUEHANNA
- The River Hawks will have a tougher test this Saturday when they open their Landmark season against Scranton in their first meeting since last year's Landmark championship game, which Susquehanna won, 3-2. The Royals and River Hawks have squared off in the last two championship games, both won by Susquehanna, with the River Hawks winning their last four matchups since 2023.
- Susquehanna plays on the road next Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Marywood.
