SELINSGROVE, PA - Sophia Bostwick earned the Landmark Conference's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after an impressive 6K performance Saturday at Dickinson's Long-Short Invitational.

As one of three River Hawks running the women's 6K, Bostwick led the team with a 16th-place finish and a time of 24:17.2 in a field of 142 runners. She remained in the top 20 through most of the race, including fifth after the first mile where she had a time of 6:06. At the 5K mark she was 18th at 20:46.6. Her performance on the Dickinson course should serve her well as it also the host site for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Championships. Until then Bostwick and the River Hawks have three more tests, beginning with Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 3, followed by Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18 and the Landmark Championships Saturday, Nov. 1 hosted by Drew University.
