KJ Carson and senior
Billy Anderson combined for 31 points on Wednesday night against visiting Goucher, leading Susquehanna men's basketball to its ninth win of the season, 77-64.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- First-year KJ Carson, making his fifth start of the season, opened the game's scoring just 30 seconds in with a fastbreak three-pointer off a steal from Brandon Lavitt. Carson scored seven of the team's first nine points as Susquehanna jumped out to a 9-6 at the 13:15 mark.
- Seamus Rogers, who entered the game first off the bench, made a three-pointer at the 11:23 mark in the half, extending the team's lead to six at 14-8.
- Goucher went on a 5-0 run over the next minute—one that would bring the Susquehanna lead to just one point before a timeout was called.
- Senior big man Billy Anderson scored seven points coming out of the timeout, partnering with Audric Washington to kickstart a 9-2 run that lasted until the 5:09 mark in the first half.
- Rogers added five more points in the final five minutes of the half, helping Susquehanna captured a 36-26 lead heading into the break.
- Mikey Cumbo, Lavitt, and Carson all scored six points in the second half's first ten minutes, leading the River Hawks on a 26-15 run that extended their lead to nearly 20 points.
- Despite a late surge from Goucher, Susquehanna held onto their double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.

- The River Hawks shot 45.6% from the field (25-of-57), 7-of-24 from 3-point range and 18-of-26 from the free-throw line overall, while holding Goucher to 41.8% on field goals (23-of-55), 3-of-15 on threes, and 15-of-22 on free throws.
- Susquehanna controlled the glass, outrebounding the Gophers 40-32.
- The River Hawks took advantage of turnovers, scoring 25 points off Goucher's 17 turnovers compared to just ten for the Gophers off 14 of SU's turnovers.
- Anderson posted a double-double, scoring 13 points, while securing 13 rebounds.
- Mikey Cumbo made his second start of the season, scoring 10 points and grabbing four rebounds.
- Lavitt had a team-high five assists to go along with nine points and four rebounds.
