KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the recipients of the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball teams and individual players. Susquehanna, led by head coach
Frank Marcinek, was recognized to the NABC's Team Academic Excellence Awards program, reserved for programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, eight River Hawks were accorded to the NABC's Honors Court, which includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The eight Susquehanna student-athletes earning Honors Court recognition included
Billy Anderson,
Allen Cieslak,
Seamus Rogers,
Emezie Egeonu,
Mario Castro Sanchez,
Brandon Lavitt,
Jackson Van Wagener, and
Audric Washington. All were key role players in securing the River Hawks' first Landmark Conference title since 2022. After earning the sixth and final seed for the conference tournament, Susquehanna pulled out three stunning road victories in a span of five days over Scranton, Drew, and ultimately Wilkes to represent the Landmark in the NCAA Tournament. Susquehanna finished with a 16-13 overall record, finishing up at Hood College in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, where they faced off against University of Redlands.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26. A full list of Honors Court recipients is available by
