Men's Swimming and Diving John Winters

Women, Men Each Place Fourth to Wrap Season at Landmark Swimming Championships

BALTIMORE, MD - The Susquehanna University men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the 2025-26 campaign on day four of the Landmark Championships. Both the men and women finished fourth, with the men receiving 304.5 points and the women 348.5 points. 

How it Happened:
  • Keegan Pence started the day for the River Hawks, placing 13th in the men's 1650 yard freestyle race. Pence showcased a time of 18.12.20. Kenny Smith finished in 18th place with a time of 18:40.60.
  • Matilda Klinetob earned a top finish in the women's 1650 yard freestyle race, placing in ninth. Klinetob showed a time of 18:40.85. 
  • Dan Venuti showcased a strong performance in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing in fifth place with a time of 1:57.28.
  • The eighth place spot in the women's 200 yard backstroke saw Catherine Sirignano post a time of 2:16.84.
  • Kaden TenEyck placed in 11th place in the 100 yard freestyle race. TenEyck finished the event with a time of 48.03.
  • Emma Church finished her day with a tenth place finish in the 100 yard freestyle. Church finished the day with a time of 55.36.
  • The 200 yard breaststroke saw Tim Wetmore place ninth with a time of 2:15.35.
  • The ninth place finish in the women's 200 yard breaststroke belonged to Erika Guche, showing a time of 2:36.33.
  • Maddie Lebkicker finished the 200 yard butterfly in seventh place with a time of 2:21.63.
  • Doug Bell, Eskander Bierman, Dan Venuti, and Kaden TenEyck finished their season in the 400 yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 3:14.44.
  • Tessa Cronin, Cameron Alvino, Jillie Donner, and Emma Church rounded out the women's season in the 400 yard freestyle relay, showing a time of 3:42.15.
Year in Review:
  • Susquehanna's fourth-place finishes concludes a noteworthy 2025-26 season and the team's first under head coach John Funk
  • The River Hawks kept up their pace finishing in the top half of the Landmark standings. The women placed fourth for the fifth straight year, while the men improved by one spot after placing fifth the previous two years. 
  • The women posted one medal finish over the weekend with diver Valerie Stoltz earning bronze in the one-meter dive, continuing the women's streak of an All-Landmark finisher every year since the Landmark Conference's inception in 2007-08.
