LEWISBURG, PA - A stellar indoor track & field season for Susquehanna had room for one more record to be broken as a handful of River Hawks looked to polish their times at Bucknell's Tuneup Meet Friday night. The top three all-time finishes at Susquehanna in the 500 meters have new residents as
Mason Winslow set the new record with a time of 1:06.24.
Aaron Kolosowsky now holds the second-fastest time for a SU runner with his 1:07.99 finish, while
Aidan Diglio is now third-fastest atn 1:08.06.
All three runners surpassed the previous record of 1:08.28, set by Eric Johnson from 2008, which coincidentally was also set at Bucknell. Six River Hawks also took on the 200 meters as on the men's side
Henry Notarfrancesco took in a time of 22.49 to lead the team.
Dominic Santos ran 22.51, while Calder
El Bachir Diakite ran 22.58,
Owen Nugent 22.71, and
Nate Frankenfield 23.07. For the women
Ashley Newman ran a time of 26.95.
It's full steam ahead for the River Hawks as they prepare to host the Landmark Indoor Track & Field Championships this Saturday from Robert I. Estill Field House. The tentative schedule has the meet opening up at 10 a.m. with the field events, while the 5,000 meters kicks off the track events at 11 a.m. This marks the first of what Susquehanna hopes will be a busy next few weeks for indoors, with the AARTFC Championships set for Mar. 6-7 at the New York City Armory, while the NCAA Division III National Championships will be Mar. 13-14 in Birmingham, Ala.
