TOWSON, MD - The Landmark Conference has announced
Doug Bell as its Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week. Bell earns his first career athlete of the week honors after finishing in first place in every race he participated in Saturday during Susquehanna's conference tri-meet with Lycoming and Moravian.
Bell began his day against Moravian and Lycoming in the 50 yard freestyle race. Bell finished the race more than half a second faster than his competition with a time of 22.26. He continued to dominate the final meet of the regular season in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing once more in first place.
Doug Bell finished the race posting a time of 49.81. The final relay of the evening was the 200 yard freestyle relay, where Bell paired up with
David Gentile,
Joey Wayne, and
Eskander Bierman. The team finished in first place once more showcasing a speedy time of 1:30.35, more than five seconds faster than the second place team who posted a time of 1:35.45.
The River Hawks set their sights now on Landmark Conference Championships that are scheduled for Feb. 12-15 at the Mangione Aquatics Center in Baltimore, MD.
