SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna University's men's and women's cross country and track & field carried five recipients to the Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. On the women's side it included
Sophia Bostwick,
Ainslee Binkley and
Ashley Newman. For the men it featured
Carter Smink and
Mason Winslow.
To qualify for CSC Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-District, candidates must carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA and hold considerable individual marks within their region to qualify. Seniors Binkley, Newman and Smink turned in outstanding careers between throwing, running and hurdles, with Smink winning the Landmark Conference 110-meter hurdles outdoor championship and placing third at the AARTFC Championships. Bostwick is the River Hawks' recipient this year from both cross country and track & field, completing a noteworthy career between her distance and pole vaulting prowess. She was an All-Landmark cross country runner, while turning in the Landmark outdoor championship this spring in the 3,000 steeplechase and third in the pole vault. Winslow turned in another great track and field season, culminating in Landmark titles in the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later this summer.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
