FLEETWOOD, PA - The Susquehanna men's golf team traveled to Fleetwood, PA, to play in The Moselem Cup held at the Par-70, 6,824-yard Moselem Springs Country Club. The two-day event, hosted by Premier College Tournaments, featured a competitive seven-team field.
The River Hawks opened the tournament with a strong showing, carding a 323 (+43) to sit in third place after day one. On day two, they followed that up with an impressive 11-stroke improvement (312 +32) to shoot them into second place with a two day total of 635 (+75). The River Hawks finished behind Landmark Conference rival Juniata College, who posted a two-day combined score of 617 (+51), while holding off Ursinus College by seven strokes who shot a 642 (+82) team score.
RIVER HAWKS ON THE COURSE
- 2. Jax Puskar, 153 (+13) - Led the team, after opening with a 78 (+8) shooting two birdies and seven pars, he shaved three strokes off of his score on day two, firing a 75 (+5) caring a birdie and 12 pars to place second overall.
- T6. Jonathan Spohn, 157 (+17) - Opened Sunday with a 79, carding ten pars. On day two, improved one stroke to a 78, highlighted by a birdie and ten pars.
- 15. Patrick Bova, 162 (+22) - Competed individually. Finished day one with a 79 (+9), carding one birdie and eight pars. Finished day two with a 83 (+13) shooting nine pars.
- T17. Jonny Zadravec, 165 (+25) - Posted a day one score of 85 (+15), carding two birdies and four pars. On day two, improved five strokes thanks to one birdie and nine pars to shoot an 80 (+10).
- T21. Rider Nicholl, 166 (+26) - Shot a day one score of 86 (+16) shooting four pars. Improved six strokes on day two to shoot an 80 (+10) recording a birdie and nine pars.
- T23. Zach Shragher, 167 (+27) - Rounded out the lineup, shooting an 81 (+11) carding one birdie and eight pars on day one. On day two, shot a 86 (+16) having seven pars.
