Men Take Productive Spring to Juniata

HUNTINDGON, PA - Susquehanna's men's track and field team made one more stop on their regular season tour at Juniata College's Tune Up. The River Hawks used the opportunity to shape up their impressive spring to date, while previewing the course for the Landmark Conference Championships this weekend. 

ON THE TRACK
  • Aidan Diglio ran the 200 meters, winning with a time of 22.87. 
  • Evander Lackman earned another win in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.49. Jack Compton took thrid at 2:05.93, while Brady Kearns was fourth at 2:08.39. 
  • Henry Notarfrancesco came back from injury to run a third-place time in the 400 meters at 51.21. Rhison Williams also ran the 4, finishing at 59.64. 
  • Andrew Hilke ran the 1500 meters, finishing third with a time of 4:24.42. Paul Rubio ran sixth at 4:42.38, while Samuel Borge took seventh at 4:47.25. Joseph LaBarbera was eighth at 4:49.12 and James Dell 11th at 4:52.93. 
  • Dell also ran the 800 meters, completing a time of 2:26.34, as did Rubio, coming in 15th at 2:21.53.
  • Ethan Harnish took on the 5,000 meters, taking fourth at 18:38.12. 
  • Charles Montross ran second in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.55.
  • Liam Messina and Justin Weychert represented the team in the 400 hurdles, with Messina running a 58.61 for fourth and Weychert sixth at 1:01.67.

IN THE FIELD
  • The River Hawks were also busy in the throws. Kieran Hennessy had a productive day, setting a new PR in the hammer throw at 42.67m for first, finishing third in the discus at 39.87m, and ninth in the shot put at 11.98m. 
  • Cole Goodwin earned a pair of second-place finishes in the discus and hammer at 41.43m and 42.19m, respectively. He took fourth in the shot put at 14.02m. 
  • Montross kept busy by competing in the long jump, taking second at 6.13m, while Smith finished fourth at 5.52m. 
  • Cooper Bottorf took fourth in the discus at 39.77m, followed by fifth in the hammer at 38.81m and tenth in the shot put at 11.57m. 
  • Tyler Roush earned seventh in the javelin at 37.82m. 
  • Luke Westlake took fifth in the discus at 38.81m, seventh in the shot put at 12.10m and ninth in the hammer at 33.14m. 
  • Christopher Barone set a PR in the shot put at 12.24 for sixth place, all the while taking seventh in the hammer at 35.13m and 25.53 in the discus. 
  • Bradley Younce got close to his personal best in the hammer as the first-year threw 34.39m. His PR came at last week's Misericordia Invitational at 34.63m. 

UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS
  • For these River Hawks, Saturday's meet served as a course preview as the team returns to Juniata this weekend for the Landmark Conference Championships, running Saturday, May 2 to Sunday, May 3.
