SELINSGROVE, PA - The Susquehanna University men's tennis team finally welcomed Lycoming to campus Wednesday as their slated meeting last week was delayed due to weather. The River Hawks won all their doubles and singles matches to post a 7-0 victory over the Warriors to improve to 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the Landmark with four regular-season matches still to play.
THE DOUBLES MATCHES
- The River Hawks opened the day winning all three doubles matches.
- Starting with the number one doubles, Logan Rauschenberger and Tyler Hester won their match 6-2 against Josh Neidert and Kayvan Shams.
- In the two-spot, Austin Imhoof and Daniel Murphy beat Logan Hammond and Thomas Andersen 6-1.
- In the last spot, Nate Hepner and Nate Bassett secured the sweep against Depesh Rai and Keegan Gill, 6-1.
THE SINGLES MATCHES
- In the number one spot, Logan Rauschenberger won in dominant 6-2, 6-0 sets against Josh Neidert.
- At number two, Owen Miller shut out Kayvan Shams 6-0, 6-0.
- Austin Imhoof won his three singles match against Logan Hammond 6-2, 6-0.
- The River Hawks completed the singles sweep as Tyler Hester, Nate Bassett, and Daniel Murphy all earned 6-0, 6-0 victories against Thomas Andersen, Keegan Gil, and Depesh Rai in the fourth, fifth and sixth matches.
UP NEXT FOR THE RIVER HAWKS
- The River Hawks return to action hosting the Catholic Cardinals on Sunday, April 12.
- They then head to Moravian on Saturday, April 18 before coming back home to play Wilkes Sunday, April 19.
