SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna University football head coach Chris Pincince has announced the completion of his inaugural coaching staff ahead of the 2026 preseason. These final additions include Hayden Braga, Greg Kahn, Matthew Prudhomme, Brad Shaeffer, and Todd West.

Hayden Braga, Special Teams Coordinator & Wide Receivers Coach
Hayden Braga joins Susquehanna as the Special Teams Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach. Braga played football and graduated from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., receiving his Bachelor's in Sport Management in 2021 and his MBA the following year. He played receiver for the Amcats from 2018 to 2022, catching 119 balls for 1,466 yards and seven touchdowns. His best season was in 2021 when he caught a career-high 46 passes for 593 yards with one touchdown reception. He also turned in one kickoff return touchdown that season as the Amcats won the ECFC title and a trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament, finishing with a 7-3 record.

Braga played professionally overseas in 2023 for Germany's Dresden Monarchs before returning to the Anna Maria coaching staff. He held down Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator positions before being promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2025. That year the Amcats posted their best record in four years with a 7-3 mark and a 7-2 conference record in their first and only season in the MASCAC. Anna Maria's defense were perennial conference stat leaders over this two-year stretch between pass defense, turnovers, and defensive touchdowns, ranking 22nd nationally in the latter in 2025. 

Greg Kahn, Defensive Line Coach
Greg Kahn comes to the River Hawks to coach the defensive line. He spent the last two seasons in the same role at Bloomsburg University. A Selinsgrove native, Kahn makes the short commute to Susquehanna, where he served once before as linebackers coach. 

Kahn's coaching career spans over three decades and ranges the high school and collegiate levels, beginning in 1991 with his position as defensive line and strength and conditioning coach at Glen Mills Schools, where he also coached track and field. He made his way to Mifflinburg High School, where he worked as defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator. Kahn later became defensive line and defensive coordinator at Shikellamy High School, after which he returned to his alma mater of Selinsgrove High School, coaching defensive line, outside linebackers and running backs. The Seals produced four PIAA District 4 titles in that time and making deep runs in the state playoffs. 

A PSAC product, Kahn played defensive tackle at Slippery Rock University under head coach George Mihalik, graduating in 1991. He later earned his Master's degree from Marywood University.

Matthew Prudhomme, Tight Ends Coach
Matthew Prudhomme joined the Susquehanna football coaching staff as Tight Ends Coach. He reunites with his former college coach after playing for Chris Pincince at New Haven from 2022 to 2024. An offensive lineman, Prudhomme was on the Chargers teams that produced three NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in that span and the O-line ranking nationally between sacks and tackles for loss allowed per game. 

Prior to UNH Prudhomme spent one season at NCAA Division I Furman University in Greenville, S.C. in Fall of 2021. He finished his playing career last fall at Slippery Rock University, serving as center on the offensive line that ranked 16th in the nation overall in sacks allowed in addition to paving the way for an offensive unit that ranked 17th in the nation in rushing offense, 33rd in total offense and 39th in scoring.

Originally from Orlando, Fla., Prudhomme attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School where he played football and competed in track & field, as well as weightlifting. He lettered three times in football and twice in weightlifting. Prudhomme was also academically sound, making the NE10 Academic Honor Roll throughout his time at New Haven.

Brad Shaeffer, Offensive Line Coach
Brad Shaeffer joined the Susquehanna University football coaching staff in the spring of 2026 to coach the offensive line. Shaeffer started his coaching career at his alma mater Slippery Rock University, where he contributed to two deep playoff runs as a player, going as far at the NCAA Division II Semifinals in 2019. That year he served on an offensive line that ranked second in the nation in first downs, third in scoring, fifth in passing yards per game, eighth in red zone efficiency and ninth in total offense.

He began coaching in the fall of 2021 and was with Slippery Rock until the summer of 2024, receiving his Master's in Public Health; Health Promotion and Wellness. Throughout his coaching run with "The Rock" the team continued their dominance, making the NCAA Tournament and winning the PSAC West every year from 2021 to 2023, while coaching two Don Hansen All-Americans in back-to-back seasons. Shaeffer moved on to fellow PSAC program Millersville University, coaching the Marauders from 2024 to 2025. His first season with the River Hawks will be his seventh season coaching.

Todd West, Safeties Coach
Todd West joins the Susquehanna staff to coach the safeties. No stranger to the 570 area, West has coached football in the area at the high school and college levels. He coached high school ball at Lewisburg and Shikellamy before becoming the running back coach for Bucknell University. During his time with the Bison between 2014 and 2015 he coached CoSIDA Academic All-American running back Matt DelMauro as well as Second Team All-Patriot League running back, C.J. Williams.

He moved on to Capital University from 2016 to 2018, where he was the defensive line and defensive backs coach, as well as Director of Football Operations. There he developed talent such as defensive back LaShaun Sanders Jr., a 2017 All-OAC selection. West then returned to the central Pennsylvania area and high school coaching, holding down positions at Bellefonte, Lewisburg and Milton.

West played his collegiate football at FCS school Lehigh University from 1991-94, where he was a four-year letter winner and graduated with his Bachelor's in International Business and Careers in 1995. He was a key member of Lehigh's first Patriot League championship team that took the title in 1993. Following graduation, West spent three years working at Lehigh as the athletic business and ticket manager and then as the assistant director of the Lehigh University Alumni Association. He then spent a decade as a pharmaceutical sales specialist.
