IRVING, Texas – Three members of the Susquehanna University football team qualified for membership into the 2021 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. The trio was part of a contingent of 908 players from 257 schools that qualified for membership in the Society's 15th year.
Seniors
Antonio Puzzangara (West Chester, Pa./Salesianum),
Sean Ryan (Verona, N.J./Seton Hall Prep), and
Nick Sottile (Taylor, Pa./Riverside) all earned membership into this year's Society.

To date, the program has had 17 members inducted into the Hampshire Honor Society.
The Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. The initiative has now honored 13,075 student-athletes since its inception.
Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must have:
- Completed their final year of playing eligibility in Fall 2020 or Spring 2021;
- Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2;
- Met all NCAA-mandated progress toward degree requirements; and
- Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2020-21 season.
Puzzangara, a defensive back for Susquehanna, is a finance major and economics minor with a 3.64 grade point average. He is a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll and has made the Dean's List six times as well. Off the gridiron, Puzzangara is active with Catholic Campus Ministries and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Ryan, a 5-10 defensive back for the River Hawks, is a finance major with a 3.4 GPA. A three-time member of the Centennial Fall Academic Honor Roll, he has made the Dean's List four times.
A 5-11 full safety at SU,
Sottile is an accounting major with a 3.55 GPA. He was named to both the 2019 and 2020 Centennial Fall Academic Honor Roll while making the Dean's List three times.
