Men’s Basketball Takes Down King’s (Pa.) in Round One of Tipoff Tournament

Box Score SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Susquehanna Men's Basketball took down King's (Pa.) 77-61 in in night one of the Susquehanna Trailways Tipoff Tournament Friday night in the O.W. Houts Gymnasium.

How It Happened

The lead changed hands three times in the first half of the game. The Monarchs only saw the lead in the first half for a total of two minutes and 28 seconds and didn't see it again for the rest of the game.
The River Hawks were led in the first half by Matt LaCorte (Westfield, Nj. / Westfield) with 11 points knocking down three 3-point shots. Lukas Yurasits (New York, NY. / Berkeley Carroll School) and Bryce Butler (Abingdon, Md. / Suffield Academy) each had seven points in the first half.
The River Hawks lead the game at halftime 45-27.
Susquehanna had some trouble knocking down shots in the second half but a steal by Howie Rankine Jr. (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle) really got the scoring started.
After the steal, both Yurasits and Danny Frauenheim (Point Pleasant Beach, Nj. / Point Pleasant Beach) hit perfect 3-pointers to put the River Hawks up by 13.
Yurasits led the way for Susquehanna in the second half putting up 14 points on four three-point shots a field goal.
Susquehanna ran with the strong lead to win the game 77-61.
