Men’s Basketball Falls to Lycoming in Overtime

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Susquehanna Men's Basketball fell to the Warriors of Lycoming College 79-70 in overtime on Sunday as the team traveled to Williamsport, Pa.

How It Happened

Susquehanna started off the game strong with a 7-0 lead, not allowing the Warriors to score until just under six and half minutes into the first quarter.
A three ball by Lycoming's Darius Dangerfield with 4:38 left int he first half, jump started the offense for the Warriors allowing them to take a 28-22 lead into the locker room.
The River Hawks were led in the first half by Danny Frauenheim (Point Pleasant Beach, Nj. / Point Pleasant Beach) with seven points knocking down one 3-point shot.
Susquehanna made some changes in the locker for the second half coming out and scoring 10 points in the first three minutes to regain the 32-30 lead.
Both teams went back and forth putting up baskets until a three ball by Dominic Dunn (Haddon Township, Nj. / Camden Catholic) pulled the River Hawks away from Lycoming.
Lycoming was able to bring the game to a tie in regulation after a made layup by Mo Terry with eight seconds left to play.
Despite laying down some key shots, it was the Warriors that came out on top 79-70.

Dunn led the scoring for the River Hawks with 16 points, scoring 13 of them in the second half and overtime periods.
Zachary Knecht (Parkland, Fl. / Stoneman Douglas) lead the defense with nine rebounds while Dunn also contributed eight.
As the team, The River Hawks went 11-18 from the free throw line and put up 28 points from the paint.

Dangerfield led the way for the Warriors with 19 points while Dyson Harward led the defense with nine rebounds.
