Men's Basketball Game At Scranton Will Require Proof of Vaccination For Attendance Wednesday

SELINSGROVE, PA (January 11, 2022) -- The University of Scranton Athletics Department announced Tuesday morning that proof of vaccination will be required for attendance to Wednesday evening's men's basketball game against the Susquehanna University men's basketball game at 7 p.m. in the John  L. Long Center on the campus of the University of Scranton. 

Below was the announcement by the University for guest attendance at indoor sporting events, effective January 12, 2022: 

The University of Scranton will continue to allow guests at indoor athletics contests, providing they meet the following requirements:

  • Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 12, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required. This means proof of two doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine;
  • All event guests will be required to show their vaccination card and photo ID;
  • Children under the age of 5 are not required to show proof of vaccination;
  • University of Scranton students, faculty, and staff can continue to gain access by showing their Royal Card.

Masking is required at all indoor events on campus and will be strictly enforced. Anyone failing to comply with the mask requirement may be asked to leave campus.
