GERMANTOWN, MD (February 19, 2023) -- The Susquehanna University women's swimming and diving team finished their season 4th overall at the 2023 Landmark Conference championships in Germantown, MD this weekend.
Here's how it happened:

Senior Julia Adams teamed up with sophomore Ashley Derrick in the A-Final 200 Yard Backstroke taking 6th place and 8th place, respectively. Adams finished with a time of 2:13.83, while Derrick touched in a 2:17.03. They were joined by sophomore Megan Iannacone and first year Addy Benton in the consolation final, as that duo earned 14th and 15th, respectively.

Another four River Hawks were seen in the 100 Yard Freestyle consolation final. Junior Amy Segond, junior Leah Tessarvich, and first year Emma Church touched in that order earning 11th, 12th, and 13th. Senior Madison Peifer followed with a 15th place finish.

Junior Mia Doll ended her stellar meet with a 5th place finish in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:31.54, which is 8th all time in program history. First year Mackenzie Moran and junior Morgan Thomas earned points from the consolation final as Moran placed 10th with a season-best time of 2:34.24 while Thomas touched 15th in a 2:45.61.

In the final race of the night, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Haley Muth, Tessarvich, Segond, and Adams finished 5th place with a time of 3:40.63.
The River Hawk women finished with a total medal count of seven, bringing in a gold, two silvers, and 4 bronze medals.
