SELINSGROVE, PA – Hannah Alderfer's second-place performance in the heptathlon, along with the 4x100 team's new school record and
Remi Acord's lifetime best in the triple jump earning each a third-place finish, bolstered Susquehanna to a memorable two days hosting the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships Wednesday and Thursday. All told, the River Hawks totaled 20 points for 14th place, earning them their highest-ever team placement at AARTFC's.
Alderfer's 4,362 points put her within 41 points of winner Emma Vezzosi from Grove City. She took first in the long jump with a measurement of 5.41m and the 800 meters at 2:29.61, while taking the second-fastest times in the 100 meters at 15.25 and 200 meters at 26.00.

Chloe Yoder,
Alayna Krempa, and
Alexa Rine put in a new PR of 47.53 to take bronze in the 4x100 Wednesday, finishing less than one second from winner University of Rochester. Acord, who recently swept the horizontal jumps at the Landmark Conference Championships, skipped her way to 11.85m in the triple jump Thursday, besting her own school record by .02m and currently serves as the 25th best mark in NCAA Division III this season.
Senior
Kallan Carter put in the 10th-best time in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:44.53 and joined forces with
Liza Levin,
Meghan McDonald, and
Emma Myers to close out the meet in the 4x800, finishing with a time of 10:03.93.
Selections for the NCAA Division III National Championships will be announced no later than Friday at 8 P.M. ET.
