DANVILLE, PA - The Susquehanna men's golf team carried on with their busy week Thursday afternoon heading up the road to Frosty Valley Country Club to take on Bloomsburg University's Husky Fall Invitational. Showcasing premiere programs from the local college area, the River Hawks managed a 352 team score on the par-72, 6679-yard course, led by senior
Charlie Betz. The Danville native scored an 86 on his home course for a +14 score and 22nd overall.
Taking the next spots for Susquehanna were junior
Jonathan Spohn and first-year
Chase Maggs, who each carried 88 scores. Spohn managed one birdie on 17 and five pars, while Maggs had seven pars to tie for 25th place on the leaderboard. Sophomore
David Birmingham completed Susquehanna's team scoring with a 90, reaching par five times, while
Liam Dima shot a 99, making par three times.
The Landmark Conference was well represented as Susquehanna was joined by Scranton and Lycoming, while the rest of the field included NCAA Division II Bloomsburg, Jefferson, and Millersville.Â
Finishing its third competition in five days, Susquehanna concludes this busy stretch this Saturday in its last test before late October's Landmark Fall Previews with a tri-match against Penn State Altoona and Hood at Altoona's Sinking Valley Country Club.Â
