NEW YORK, NY - Susquehanna women's track and field team is back in action as they traveled up to famous The Armory in New York for the TCNJ Opener. The team boasted new PRs to mark a great start to the season, including
Liza Levin and
Victoria Urbaez with new school records under their belt. Levin's fourth-place finish in the 600 meters earned her the program's best mark in said event at 1:43.50, while Urbaez sixth-place time of 3:14.01 in the 1000 meters gives her the best time ever for a Susquehanna runner.
Starting off with the 60 hurdles, senior and reigning All-American in the event
Chloe Yoder took the best qualifying time in the prelims with a time of 8.77, currently the fastest time in NCAA Division III, then in the finals maintaining first place with a finals time of 8.89. Senior
Hannah Alderfer takes sixth place with a qualifying time of 9.33, ultimately takes eighth place with 9.69. Sophomore
Charlotte Houle PR'd with a time of 11.50. In the 60-meter dash, seniors
Addison Yaukey and
Kelly Loughlin finished with respective times of 8.33 and 8.60. First-years
Megan McDougall and
Nakayah Tyler completed their first collegiate race with a respective 8.83 and 8.89.
Senior
Grace Farrer finished in eighth place in the mile with a time of 6:05.47. During the 400 meters, sophomore
Denicia German PRs with a time of 1:05.77. In the 300-meter Yaukey PRs with a time of 45.50. Sophomore
Katie Wojton raced along Urbaez in the 1,000, finishing tenth at 3:26.08.
In the weight throw sophomore
Bella Dauberman took the third spot with a PR throw of 13.01 meters. Sophomore
Abigail Haskell landed a new PR of 12.33 meters for sixth place. Dauberman finished in fifth place in the shot put with a PR of 10.43 meters, while junior
Paulina Biagioni threw 9.48 meters in tenth place. Alderfer and senior
Remi Acord took fourth and sixth in the long jump, Alderfer with a jump of 5.28 meters, currently 28th best in Division III and third in the Landmark, and Acord 4.98 meters. In the high jump, Houle took fifth place with a jump of 1.48 meters, the third-best height in the Landmark. Senior
Sarah Bower took fifth place in pole vault with a height of 2.85 meters, the fourth-best mark in the Landmark through opening weekend.
The River Hawks come back to Selinsgrove ready to host the River Hawk Early Season Multi and Invite. The women's pentathlon and the opening sets of the men's heptathlon kick off the event Friday, followed by the invitational happening all day Saturday.
