WAYNESBORO, PA - The Susquehanna University men's golf team completed their last assignment of the fall before Landmark Previews this weekend at the Mason-Dixon Classic at Waynesboro Country Club, hosted by Gettysburg and McDaniel. First-year
Jax Puskar, whose led the River Hawks through much of the fall, continued his great work with a 152 two-day total, taking his eight-over-par score for 35th on the leaderboard. Susquehanna finished 13th in the dense field with a 628 combined score, carried out by a 316 on Saturday and 312 Sunday. The hosts took the top spots with McDaniel winning the team crown at 582, while Gettysburg's Nick Conti and Daniel Casanta medaled with matching 139 five-under-par scores.
River Hawks on the Course
- 35. Jax Puskar, 152 (78-74) +8 - Improved by four strokes on Sunday. Shot one birdie Saturday on a par four with 12 pars. Jumped to two birdies Sunday and an eagle on the par-four 13th hole spanning 348 yards. Had eight pars Sunday.
- 43. Rider Nicholl, 154 (77-77) +10 - Shot even on the front nine Saturday and had two birdies during the first round with 11 pars. Finished Sunday with 13 pars.
- 64. Jonathan Spohn, 160 (80-80) +16 - On both days totaled one birdie with nine pars.Â
- 71. Jonny Zadravec, 162 (+81-81) +18 - Finished with 11 pars on Saturday, followed by two birdies Sunday with ten pars. Shot 38 on the back nine both days.Â
- 91. Patrick Bova, 170 (87-83) +26 - Finished both days with one birdie and seven pars.Â
