SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's swimming picked up a tri-meet conference home win over Lycoming College and Elizabethtown College to open their season Friday night. THe River Hawks defeated the Warriors, 154-29, followed by a win against the Blue Jays, 142-61.

How it Happened:

• Dan Venuti, AJ Black, Alex Schweikert, and Doug Bell, claimed first-place in the 200 yard medley relay, posting a time of 1:41.01.
• Keegan Pence took second place in the 1000 yard freestyle, posting a time of 11:06.90.
• David Gentile and Joey Wayne tallied a second and third place finish, respectively, in the 200 yard freestyle. 
• Doug Bell and Eskander Bierman took first and second place in the 50 yard freestyle race, with Bell posting a time of 22.94, followed by Bierman's 23.09 time.
• The 200 yard IM saw the River Hawks claim the top three spots, with Timothy Wetmore coming in first, followed by Jack Rice, and Brandon Sutherland.
• Dan Venuti won the 100 yard butterfly race, posting a time of 53.82.
• David Gentile, Doug Bell, and Eskander Bierman all took the top three spots in the 100 yard freestyle, posting times of 51.12, 51.18, and 51.23.
• Venuti and Sutherland took first and second in the 100 yard backstroke, with Venuti posing a time of 57.32, followed by a time of 58.66 by Sutherland.
• Timothy Wetmore and Joey Wayne took second and third in the 500 yard freestyle, with Wetmore tallying a time of 5:30.60, followed by Wayne's time of 5:34.86.
• AJ Black and Timothy Wetmore took first and second in the 100 yard breaststroke, posting times of 1:03.98, and 1:07.02.
• Kade Cimakasky, Kenny Smith, Theo Maher, AJ Black, won the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.66.
