Women's Lacrosse Unfolds 2026 Spring Slate

SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's lacrosse head coach Randall Swope has announced the River Hawks' 2026 schedule. Back for her ninth season, Coach Swope and the River Hawks prepare for another competitive slate, including a two-game stay in Clearwater, Florida over spring break. The team looks to build off the pillars of a noteworthy 2025 season where they reached the Landmark Conference Semifinals to cap a great late-season run.

The team welcomes back two All-Landmark Second Team selections in senior goalie Aerin O'Brien and sophomore defender Shea Cina. Some notable names on the attacking end return in Abby Andrus, who notched 38 goals and 40 points last season, as well as Jessica Russo and Sophia Trively. Another noted returning presence on defense is Bridget McCann

Susquehanna enjoyed a great season in 2025 filled with many redeeming qualities. The vast departure of graduating talent from 2024 would have made it easy for the River Hawks to look at 2025 as a rebuilding year, but a late season surge put many teams in the Landmark on notice as the team finished with a 5-4 conference record. In the regular-season finale against Elizabethtown in a battle of two teams with a 4-4 league mark, Susquehanna put the hurt on the blue birds with a 14-7 victory, giving them the Landmark Tournament opening round matchup they craved as the fifth seed and traveling to Moravian, a team that had beaten them back in March by a 14-6 score. This time around the Greyhounds were stunned to find the River Hawks out in front early 4-0, and even though a comeback tied things up at 6-6 at halftime it was all Susquehanna in the second half. They tallied seven more goals and shut Moravian out the entire fourth quarter in the convincing 13-8 playoff win.

The River Hawks open the regular season with a road trip to Shenandoah University on February 14, followed by two home meetings between Dickinson College and Messiah University. SU welcomes Dickinson on February 18, with Messiah coming to Susquehanna on February 21. Misericordia University is slated next for the River Hawks, as SU heads out to Dallas, Pa to take on the Cougars on February 27. SU takes a trip to the Sunshine State of Florida on March 3-5 to take on Clark University on the 3rd of March. SU continues their Florida trip taking on Roanoke College March 5. Susquehanna returns back to Selinsgrove on March 14 to take on Rowan University followed by a home meeting against Alvernia University on March 18.

Susquehanna opens Landmark Conference play with a trip out to Elizabethtown College on March 21. Wilkes University takes on Susquehanna at Sassafras Field on March 25, followed by the River Hawks taking a trip out to Lycoming College on March 28. SU welcomes the Greyhounds of Moravian University on April 3, before heading on the road for two consecutive Landmark Conference match ups. April 8 marks the River Hawks game against Juniata College, with April 11 marking a trip out to New Jersey to take on Drew University. The River Hawks take on Catholic University at home on April 15, with April 18 marking a meeting with the University of Scranton in Selinsgrove. SU wraps up the regular season with a trip to Goucher College on April 22. The Landmark Conference Playoffs are set for April 25 for the Opening Round. The Landmark Conference Semifinals will take place on April 29 with the Championship Game being held on May 2.
