Women Gather Three on All-Landmark Team

SELINSGROVE, PA - Three Susquehanna women's lacrosse student-athletes were honored to the All-Landmark Conference Team, as announced by the conference on Friday. The team garnered two Second-Team choices in junior goalkeeper Aerin O'Brien and first-year defender Shea Cina, while senior Liv Owen was tabbed an Honorable Mention at attacker. This is O'Brien's second honor to the All-Landmark Team after taking First Team honors in 2024, while Owen earned her first honor in an unprecedented career and the first for the young Cina.

Susquehanna enjoyed a great season filled with many redeeming qualities. The vast departure of talent last season would have made it easy for the River Hawks to look at 2025 as a rebuilding year, but a late season surge put many teams in the Landmark on notice as the team finished with a 5-4 conference record. In the regular-season finale against Elizabethtown in a battle of two teams with a 4-4 league mark, Susquehanna put the hurt on the blue birds with a 14-7 victory, giving them the Landmark Tournament opening round matchup they craved as the fifth seed and traveling to Moravian, a team that had beaten them back in March by a 14-6 score. This time around the Greyhounds were stunned to find the River Hawks out in front early 4-0, and even though a comeback tied things up at 6-6 at halftime it was all Susquehanna in the second half. They tallied seven more goals and shut Moravian out the entire fourth quarter in the convincing 13-8 playoff win.

SHEA CINA (D): Started all 19 games on defense, causing 15 turnovers and scooping 27 ground balls... had one assist on the season in the team's 20-2 win at Allegheny back on Mar. 8... part of a defensive unit that allowed only two goals in three games - Allegheny on Mar. 8, Wilkes April 12 and Goucher April 16 - as well as one game allowing just three goals at Alvernia on Mar. 25 as well as one game allowing just three goals... team allowed only 194 goals on the year as the team celebrated a +1 goal differential scoring 195.
