BOSTON, MASS. - Five Susquehanna men's track and field runners took to Boston University's famous David Valentine Invitational in hopes of shaving down their already outstanding times on the Terriers' track. More Landmark and school records fell, as did PRs, triggered by
Elliott Davis in the morning's 400 meters with a time of 48.25, besting his previous school and conference standard of 48.77 set earlier this month at Ithaca's Bomber Invitational. He joined his 4x400 brethren Ben Bulger,
Brandon Zimmerman, and
Mason Winslow for the afternoon relays, where they again topped their previous Landmark and program benchmark with a time of 3:15.09.
The men's 4x400 team dropped their previous best by three seconds even after posting a then-record time of 3:18.09 at Nazareth in January. Since 2022, Susquehanna has dropped the Landmark Conference 4x4 record by over 11 seconds. Also running the 400 meters Friday morning were Winslow and first-year
Aidan Diglio, both setting new personal bests. Winslow ran a time of 49.26 and Diglio a 50.20. Davis continues to hold a top-15 time in the NCAA Division III for the 400 as of Friday, while the 4x400 squad remains sixth-fastest.
The rest of the River Hawks gear up to host the SU Invite Saturday, Feb. 15 from Estill Field House. The meet will now begin at 9 a.m. with the 5,000 meters and the horizontal jumps.
