SELINSGROVE, PA - A pair of first-years on the Susquehanna men's track and field team swept the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week honors as runner
Nate Frankenfield earned the league's men's track category and thrower
Kieran Hennessy for men's field after great performances at Saturday's Lebanon Valley Mini Meet.
Frankenfield led the team in both the 100 meters and 200 meters. He finished fourth overall in the 200 with a time of 22.91, then eighth in the 100 at 11.29. Hennessy made his outdoor career debut in the shot put, leading the team with a throw of 12.30m for sixth place. Hennessy also threw the discus at 38.94m for eighth place, then reeled off a 37.86m throw in the hammer for ninth place.
The River Hawks prepare for their home meet this weekend with the annual Jim Taylor Duals, which will also serve as their senior day.
